Successfully complete van/bus driver training program and courses as prescribed by the state law requirements.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the van / bus and its special equipment.
Maintain orderly conduct of passengers. Report unsafe acts or conditions.
Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required
Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and public.
Complete legible, accurate and required reports in the prescribed manner and on a timely basis.
Provide maximum safety for passengers while on the van /bus and during loading and unloading.
Clean and service the van / bus which includes, sweeping, washing, fueling, checking oil and coolant levels, etc. Report needed repairs.
Perform other duties as directed by management
Report any hazards along the existing route to the appropriate management.


The minimum age to qualify as a van / bus driver is eighteen (21) years of age.
Possess or be able to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License in either Class A, B, or C depending on the type vehicle to be driven with the proper P and S endorsement.
Current First Aid & CPR certification
Current VDDP clearance
Must pass a physical examination by a licensed Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy within 60 days prior to the date of employment in accordance with the approved examination
Good moral character.
Minimum of two years driving experience. (does not have to be a commercial license)
No addiction to the use of intoxicating liquor or narcotic drugs. Successfully complete a pre-employment drug test.
Mental and emotional stability, which ensures the normal driving competency

Salary: $11.00 to $13.00 /hour
